Careers at Ducommun

Drawing upon our values of trust and respect, plus our can-do attitude, Ducommun employees are making an impact in the communities where we work and live.

STEM On the Sidelines™

For the 7th year in a row, Ducommun proudly sponsored the STEM on the Sidelines™ competition, in partnership with the Los Angeles Chargers and UCI's Samueli School of Engineering. This regional event promotes STEM education among high school students across Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

Held at the Chargers' new training facility, "The Bolt," the 2024 competition featured 20 teams from 14 schools. Students designed and built robot rovers to complete speed and agility challenges inspired by the NFL Combine. Winning teams were recognized on the field at the Chargers home game on December 19th.

Mfg Day
Manufacturing Day - Inspiring the next generation of makers!

Ducommun's performance centers across the country proudly took part in our 4th Annual National Manufacturing Day (MFGDay) in October. Organized by the Manufacturing Institute and the National Association of Manufacturers, MFGDay introduces middle and high school students to exciting careers in manufacturing.

We welcomed over 1,500 students for plant tours, presentations, and hands-on activities. Students connected with our team, heard real-world success stories, and explored future opportunities. Some of our employees also joined local community events, helping inspire the next generation of talent.

Ducommun and the United Way

In 2024, Ducommun employees came together through our Ducommun Cares campaign to support United Way's mission of strengthening communities. Their generosity and engagement helped us earn a nomination for the Corporate Giving Climber Award at the Rally for Change. We also joined the 100th Anniversary Gala as an Anniversary Sponsor, celebrating a century of impact and helping raise over $850,000 for local programs.

Scholars
Ducommun Scholars

Since 2005, Ducommun has awarded scholarships annually to students. Each scholarship award is up to $3000 and is renewable for up to three years based on student eligibility. This program is available exclusively to Ducommun full-time employees' children and grandchildren who attend a 4-year college/university or 2-year accredited technical or vocational college.
Employee Engagement

Employees are a key component of our company's global citizenship efforts. Whether tutoring students, walking in the local Relay for Life, contributing to a company-sponsored food drive or volunteering with a local children's hospital, their efforts enhance what we contribute to the communities where we do business. We support organizations such as the American Diabetes Association, American Red Cross, Ronald McDonald House, Toys for Tots, and local schools, hospitals and food pantries.
