DUCOMMUN INCORPORATED NAMES GARY PARKINSON CORPORATE VICE PRESIDENT HUMAN RESOURCES


LOS ANGELES, California (August 15, 2005) -- Ducommun Incorporated (NYSE: DCO) today announced that Gary Parkinson has joined the company as corporate vice president, human resources. He reports to Joseph C. Berenato, chairman and chief executive officer of the company. Mr. Parkinson will be responsible for all aspects of human resources throughout the company.

Mr. Parkinson, from 2003 until joining Ducommun, was with Great Lakes Chemical Corporation as vice president of human resources for the Flame Retardants and Performance Products business in West Lafayette, Indiana. Prior to this he was with Eaton Corporation as director of human resources for their aerospace business in Irvine, California. From 1978 through 1999 he was with Allied Signal where he held a number of increasingly responsible positions, initially in operations, then human resources, in both the Automotive and Aerospace businesses.

Joseph C. Berenato, chairman and chief executive officer of Ducommun stated, “Gary has broad based experience in human resources from world class organizations in that field. His track record of focusing on talent management and partnering with general management will be extremely valuable to Ducommun as we accelerate our growth and drive for efficiencies in our operating units.”

Mr. Parkinson earned a Bachelor of Science degree and an MBA from the University of Central Lancashire in the United Kingdom.
