Miltec Systems employs a mature systems engineering approach to develop advanced
sensor systems from early concepts to integrated systems and manufactured products.
We work closely with our government and industry customers to identify system requirements
leading to early prototype testing, system integration, system testing, data analysis
and eventually manufacturing and maintenance support. Our primary areas of focus,
along with recent examples, are:
System Health Management
Optical fiber based damage detection systems designed to detect burn-through failure
modes of rocket nozzles and motor seals in support of NASA.
Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS)
Diamond based MEMS pressure and temperature sensors for use in chemically harsh
and high temperature environments in support of NASA.
Cryogenic Systems
Optical fiber sensor array systems for measuring temperature and flow quality in
liquid oxygen and hydrogen in support of NASA.
Advanced Millimeter wave (mmWave) Systems
MmWave radar system for aiding in low visibility landing situations and advanced
counter measure deployment in support of the Department of Defense.
Data Analysis
Optical data reduction and analysis, image processing, software development, data
fusion, optical sensor analysis, and modeling and simulations in support of the
Missile Defense Agency.
