	Ducommun Incorporated > Employment > Ducommun AeroStructures Openings > Current Open Position Monrovia, California Computer Aided Measurement Systems Specialist Summary Develop computer programs for Coordinate Measuring machines (CMM) for computerized precision inspection of detail parts, assemblies and tools. Qualifications Proficient with Brown & Sharp Xcel Coordinate Measuring Machine using MM4 software in conjunction with Data Page Statistical Process Control software and Brown & Sharp Validator Coordinate Measuring Machine using Val-Measure software. Proficiency in programming for both Direct Computer Control (DCC) and manual operation modes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per ANSI Y145.5 and Catia Data reports provided by engineering. Proficient technical writing skills and abilities. Sound knowledge and abilities in Statistical Process Control. Ability to correctly perform complex surface plate set-ups. Ability to perform calculations using trigonometric functions to derive dimensions not otherwise available. Duties & Responsibilities Develop computer programs for use on the CMM. Define and produce written inspection procedures for the precision inspection of details, assemblies and tooling on computer aided Coordinate Measuring Machines. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
