If you're visiting the El Mirage, California facility of Ducommun AeroStructures, here's where the desert meets the road. Our El Mirage facility is on El Mirage Road, ample description for the type of area surrounding it. The great Mojave desert starts at the base of the mountains where Ducommun AeroStructures El Mirage is situated. This facility is unique. Jutting up suddenly from the roadside bush, Ducommun AeroStructures El Mirage looks like the only commercial enterprise for miles. It's a perfect location. Good people live and work in this area. People who just like the desert. Cool in winter, hot in summer. We do some of our best work here. And the surrounding area offers scenic majesty.

El Mirage is just a short drive off of State Route 395, often called the backbone of California, traveling up the eastern spine of the state. The 395 takes travelers from near San Bernardino to Reno, and past some of the most beautiful landscape. Passing the solar energy station with its row on row of glistening mirrored solar collectors, past Mt. McKinley, tallest peak in the 48 contiguous states to Bishop, gateway to the Sierras. Within a day's drive from El Mirage, you'll have traveled from desert floor to high Sierras and back down to high desert. With a turn west an hour after Bishop, you'll enter the eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park, one of the truly spectacular natural geologic wonders of the world.
